Libertad
Si mi llama tiembla, me sostengo. Elijo arder más. ¿Da luz lo que nadie nombra? ¿Habrá quien responda? La brasa es mi sombra. La soplo, y vuelvo a cantar.I was a glowing ember in the dark, a spark longing to break free. So many nights I spent dreaming of another place. I cross this uncertain threshold with no clue where it will lead. Now I am a wildfire, leaving my shadow up in flames. I sing in freedom. I live among the ashes and the smoke that covered me. I was more impulse than voice, I was a fire that could not burn, short of breath. Today I yield myself to the wind, though it makes me sway. If my flame begins to tremble, I hold my ground. I choose to burn brighter. Does what no one names give light? Will anyone answer? The ember is my shadow. I blow on it, and sing again. Soy una puerta abierta.I am an open door. Light pours in and fills me with beauty. Because I am a door forever open. Light pours in and fills me with beauty. A thousand colored birds fly in, and I try to shelter them so they stay. The wind comes in and tears down what was built. The feared wolves come in, and I let them devour me. But then I remember I am only a door: there is no "inside" in me. That my beauty only mirrors what surrounds me. That I have no way to keep the birds safe. That the wind unsettles us all the same. That the wolves, as soon as they enter, are already gone. I am an open door. I am an open door. But I am only an open door. I am an open door.

Duelo
Like any fading sunset, He stepped out to walk. The town lay quiet, Unaware of anything. Lost among shadows, A stranger's body, Passed him by. The air turned heavy Whispers of iron Rage and fear within A storm of confusion A night of torment Cries shatter the silence A question Without voice or sky Time left wounded And mourning goes on The sun rises though slower now It hurts, yet breath remains. Life does not seek to understand, Beneath the wound skin is born again. - Tienes preguntas que no tienen fin Y un mar de sueños por descubrir Has sido sombra, has sido luz En resistir no hay nadie como tú. Ahora de vuelta a casa Deja el mundo girar Hasta calmar el alma Da paso a lo que vendrá Traes el peso del cielo Déjalo reposar aquí Mañana sigues, Hoy descansa en mi Ahora de vuelta a casa Deja el mundo girar Hasta calmar el alma Da paso a lo que vendráYou carry questions with no end in sight and an ocean of dreams still waiting to be found. You have been shadow, you have been light and no one knows endurance quite like you. Now that you are coming home, let the world keep turning, until your soul grows quiet, and make room for what will come. You bring the weight of the sky, let it rest here for a while. Tomorrow you go on, but tonight, rest in me. Now that you are coming home, let the world keep turning, until your soul grows quiet, and make room for what will come.
Amanece en el marDawn rises over the sea Breezes of life and salt Its rhythm whispers while passing That everything shifts again Stories come and go, With laughter and sorrow. Light and salt. Ours was light and salt Born sweet, fierce as it walked Tides, rain and sun No course but the heart I tried to tie the wind Hide your laughter in a drawer But time, in its song, Returned you to the sea. Left me on the shore Light and salt. Dawn rises over the sea
No eres tú, No eres tú, No eres tú, No.They split our voices through fear, through lies, but no— we were not born for their destruction, nor for their rage. That is not my voice, and their fury is not my song. Today I rewrite the story by your side. I will not hate you. That is my path, that is my truth. From Nerudas and Borges to Hatfields and McCoys, old feuds follow wherever I go. Civil wars and holy wars without an end, sowing terror for a ruthless hunger for power. That is not my voice, not even their pain defines me. Today I rewrite the story by your side. I will not hate you. That is my path, that is my truth. Amid the uproar, amid speeches stripped of reason, seek the truth, break through the glass, the same old tale, just one more fight. Perhaps history will prove me wrong in the end, but this is not your hatred, Not your evil. This is not you, This is not you, This is not you, no.

Paso
A farewell, an "I love you, father." You look at me, thinking of what may come. What happens when life slips away? Perhaps time stands still, Perhaps it begins again, Perhaps this life is a dream, From which you wake in peace. And when you wake in a new light. Without the name or body you once were, And in a memory our story blooms, Look at me, smile, I live in you. This final river cannot be crossed by force, Neither reason nor senses can guide us. Let it flow, without looking back, The river knows where it goes. - 08
Pimiento
Old pepper tree, today I come back to see you, They say you know how to heal a poet's wounds. I was born with my heart outside, since childhood it wanted more than to beat. It won't hear my stories of the world, it wants to feel it by itself. Old pepper tree, my refuge, my place. The heart laid bare, everything passes through it: A lantern in storms, yet a single glance can break it. It loves quickly, without measure it goes. It finds beauty in simple things. Yet in its blood it carries others' sorrows, and dissolves in them. If it insists on staying outside, let it beat in your shade. Old pepper tree, you were the playground of my childhood. I wrap myself in your leaves to be born again. ¡Me voy a escapar! They lay me down on the bed of shining silver. They anoint me with herbs, with fat, garlic and salt. My skin shines like crystal, the chef admires me like a work of art. "You will be exquisite," he sighs, while I dream of my muddy childhood pond. I am the star of a hellish feast. They lift me in their arms like a king of Rome. An apple in my mouth, so I may seem delighted. They slide my body into the blazing heat. The air wraps me in smoke and heat, and I sing out in horror. I am the star of a deadly feast. What divine honor! What a devil's menu! There in the embers, I grin at destiny. Oh, a sudden power cut, blessed surprise! The kitchen in chaos and the oven door, left hanging half open. What heavenly luck! I'm making my escape! I leap from the oven, ready to fly. Off to the forest I go, crispy and triumphant. I breathe out free, I feel the breeze, I fled from hell, I left the ashes behind. But in the shadows silver fangs, a wolf waits, and fate strikes me down. I am the star of a deadly feast. What divine honor! What a devil's menu! From the belly of it all, I smile at destiny.

Vidas
A grey sky over our home, you already at sea. The body to dust, it will never know. that you will live on in stories. that you will return in tales.
